The President of the Republic visited the Ministry of Internal Affairs

The President of the Republic this evening visited the Ministry of Internal Affairs in order to inquire whether it will be possible to open the museum of deportations in the former KGB cellars for this summer, when it will be 60 years from the first great deportation in Estonia.

Tarmo Loodus, the Minister of Internal Affairs, and Harri Tuul, Director General of the Police Administration, showed the President the cellars and the objects still remaining there from the Soviet times. As Minister Loodus said, the preparatory arrangements for the museum have already begun.

The President of the Republic also visited the newly renovated Family Archives.
