The President of the Republic will participate in the meeting of the Baltic Presidents in Riga

Tomorrow, on December 15, the traditional meeting of the Presidents of the Baltic Countries Lennart Meri, Vaira Vike-Freiberga and Valdas Adamkus will take place in Riga.

The meeting of the Presidents and their accompanying delegations will start at 11 AM in Hotel Riedzene. This time, the enlargement of the European Union and NATO, as well as trilateral relations and defence co-operation between the Baltic States will be discussed at the meeting.

In the afternoon, the Presidents will visit the National Air Surveillance Centre and have a meeting with the Commanders of the Defence Forces of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

A tête-à-tête meeting of the three Heads of State will follow.
At 4 PM, the Presidents will give a joint press conference at the airport.

In the evening, there will be an official farewell at the presidential palace of Riga. President Lennart Meri will be back in Tallinn on Friday evening.
