The President of the Republic was at the presentation of Andreas Oplatka's book

President Lennart Meri participated at the presentation of the book ''Lennart Meri – Eestile elatud elu'' (Lennart Meri – a Life Lived for Estonia) written by Swiss journalist Andreas Oplatka and published in Estonian by the Ilmamaa publishing house, at the National Library today.

In the conference hall of the National Library, the Minister of Education Tõnis Lukas said some introductory words. On behalf of the publishing house, Hando Runnel spoke of the publication of the book. After a few words from Leo Metsar, the translator of the book to Estonian, there was a session of questions and answers between Peeter Olesk and Lennart Meri. Peeter Olesk questioned the President of the Republic as ''the object of the book'' on the same subjects that the book concentrates on. At the end of the presentation, the President distributed autographs.
