President of the Republic refused to proclaim the Bankruptcy Act Amendment Act

President Lennart Meri signed the resolution to proclaim the ''Agreement on Maritime Border in the Baltic Sea between the Government of the Republic of Estonia and the Kingdom of Sweden Ratification Act'', passed in the Riigikogu on May 30, and the ''Museum Act Amendment Act'', the ''National Opera Act Amendment Act'', and the ''Act Amending the Sections 12, 121, 16 and 17 of the Republic of Estonia Ownership Reform Act'', passed in the Riigikogu on May 31.

The President also proclaimed the ''Act Amending State Statistics Act and the Code of Criminal Procedures'', passed in the Riigikogu on June 1, and signed the resolution not to proclaim the ''Bankruptcy Act Amendment Act'' passed in the Riigikogu on June 1, as the Act is in contradiction with Clause 14, Subsection 2, Section 104 of the Constitution of the Republic of Estonia.
