The President of the Republic pays a working visit to the United States of America

President Lennart Meri is departing for a working visit to the USA on Monday, June 12, to commemmorate the 60th anniversary of the US nonrecognition policy.

On June 14 he will attend a reception on Capitol Hill to celebrate 60 years of US support for Baltic independence and will confer the Cross of Saint Mary's Land on Congressman Gerald B. Solomon (served in Congress between 1979 and 1999) for his work in support of the Baltic states.

On June 15 the President will deliver a lecture at the centre for Strategic and International Studies. President Meri will return to Estonia in the afternoon of June 16.
