President discussed the Young Family Home Project with Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Affairs

President of the Republic discussed the Young Family Home Project with Prime Minister Mart Laar and Minister of Economic Affairs Mihkel Pärnoja in Kadriorg today. Prime Minister and the Minister of Economic Affairs spoke of the housing loan opportunities discussed in the Government on Tuesday, and of the positions of the Government.

On the meeting it was agreed that the project should enable young families without their own homes to get a home of their own. The loan repayment rate should be 3,000 kroons per month.

It was also admitted that the Young Family Home project has the development of regional policy and creation of a European living environment in less developed regions as one of its objectives. More detailed plans should be ready and available to public within the next couple of weeks.
