President of the Republic considers the killing of the policeman to be an attack on the Estonian State

President of the Republic today sent a letter of condolences to the parents of Maksim Karpov, the policeman who was shot last night. The President wrote: ''No one in Estonia is indifferent to Maksim Karpov's death on duty, because this was an attack against the Estonian State.'' The killed policeman was loyal to his duties till the last moments of his life, and will be remembered by us all as a paragon of bravery and responsibility, the President wrote.
