President of the Republic Appointed Three Judges

President Lennart Meri appointed three judges on the proposal of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Uno Lõhmus today. The President said to the candidate judges that it is important to make just and clear judgements, so that the Estonian people would not lose their faith in Estonia as a state abiding the rule of law.

Today, the Pärnu County Court Judge Toomas Talviste, the Põlva County Court Judge Epp Tombak and the Viru Circuit Court Judge Tiit Kollom swore their oath to the President. Also the Minister of Justice Märt Rask and the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Uno Lõhmus were present on the appointment ceremony.
