President of the Republic had a meeting with the President of Finland

President of the Republic and the Finnish President Martti Ahtisaari discussed international issues and the relations between Estonia and Finland on a lunch in Helsinki today.

President Ahtisaari gave a survey of his mission to Belgrad and spoke of the terms he had presented to the Serbian leaders. The terms include the withdrawal of the Yugoslavian and Serbian forces from Kosovo as well as the presence there of the international forces, including NATO, in order to secure the return of the Kosovo Albanians to their homes.

The results of the recent European Union Summit and the prospects of the Finnish EU presidency were also discussed.

Discussing the relations between the two countries, the two Presidents noted that the relations are in a good state.
