President Lennart Meri received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Spain Mr Josep Piqué Camps today at Kadriorg.

During the meeting, the aims of the Estonian foreign policy and the accession to the European Union and NATO were discussed. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain assured that Spain wishes the accession of Estonia to the European Union as soon as possible and also supports the accession of Estonia to the North-Atlantic defence organisation soon.
