This evening, the certificate of the Honorary Member of the Foundation of St. John's Church of St. Petersburg was handed over to the President of the Republic by Jüri Trei, Chairman of the Board of the Foundation of St. John's Church of St. Petersburg. With this act of recognition, the Foundation of St. John's Church of St. Petersburg thanks the President of the Republic for his support to the renovation of the church and the founding of the Estonian Culture Centre.

Jüri Trei also introduced to the President the draft project of the Estonian Culture Centre, for which a donation was made from the President of the Republic's Cultural Foundation.

Accepting the Honorary Member Certificate, President Meri expressed his hope that fair winds would last for the Estonian community of St. Petersburg.
