President Lennart Meri will be on a visit to France this week. On December 4-5, the President will have several meetings in Paris, including meetings with representatives of French cultural circles and also the municipality of Paris in order to discuss the opening of the exhibition ''Estonian Art at the Turn of the Millennium'', which will take place under the patronage of President of the Republic and will be opened in Paris in spring 2000.

On December 6, President of the Republic will proceed from Paris to Nice in order to participate in the European Union Summit. At the summit, President Meri will give a speech on the European Union enlargement. The President will be back in Tallinn on Friday night.
