President Lennart Meri today sent a letter Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg on the occasion of his ascension to the throne. ''In today's changing world constants are of major importance. We all need institutions that remain unchanged and that provide us with a feeling that despite all the new challenges we face some things remain to symbolize the continuity of nation states,'' President Meri wrote.

The President wished Grand Duke Henri wisdom and health in governing his people.
