The President of the Republic of Greece Constantinos Stephanopoulos concluded his state visit to Estonia today at noon and left from Tallinn Airport on board private plane. On his way back home, President Stephanopoulos forwarded a message to President Meri on the airplane radio, thanking him for the warm welcome and hospitality, which he will cherish as a token of friendly feelings towards his country and himself.

Before the Greek President's departure, President Stephanopoulos and President Meri visited the Muuga Port, where Riho Rasmann, Chairman of the Board of the Port of Tallinn, showed them one of the largest ports of the Baltic Sea.

President of the Republic emphasised that, through ports, we will be able to promote closer co-operation between the countries of Northern and Southern Europe.
