President Lennart Meri nominated Priit Kama officially the candidate of Legal Chancellor today, having received confirmation from the leaders of different factions of the Riigikogu that factions representing the majority of members of the Riigikogu support the appointment of Priit Kama to the office of the Legal Chancellor of the Republic of Estonia.

President of the Republic is convinced that Priit Kama will be a professional and apolitical Legal Chancellor, a worthy successor to Eerik-Juhan Truuväli and Anton Palvadre.
