President Lennart Meri signed the resolution to proclaim the ''Labour Market Service Act'', the ''Social Protection of the Unemployed Act'', the ''Trade Unions Act'', the ''Central Register of Estonian Securities Act'', the Estonian Health Insurance Fund Act'', the ''Measurement Act Amendment Act'', the ''Alcohol Excise Duty Act'', the ''Imprisonment Act'', and the ''Income Tax Act Amendment Act'', as well as the ''Act Amending the Benefits Related to the Office of the President of the Republic Act, the Salary of Public Servants Appointed by the President of the Republic and the Riigikogu Act and the Income Tax Act'' and the ''Act Amending Section 373 of the State Budget Act'', the ''Act Amending the Code of Administrative Offences'', the ''Act Amending Section 13 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act'', passed in the Riigikogu on June 14, and the ''The Act declaring the Invalidity of the Republic of Estonia Foreign Investments Act'', passed in the Riigikogu on June 15.

President of the Republic also proclaimed the ''Government of the Republic Act Amendment Act'', the ''Tobacco Act'', the ''Fuel Excise Duty Act Amendment Act'', the ''Act Amending the Act ''State Budget for the Year 2000'' '', the ''Financing Agreement between the Republic of Estonia and the European Investment Bank Ratification Act'' and the ''Loan Agreement between the Republic of Estonia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development Ratification Act'', passed in the Riigikogu on June 19, and the ''Riigi Teataja Act Amendment Act and proceeding therefrom, also the Code of Civil Procedures and other Acts Amendment Act'', the ''Packaging Excise Duty Act Amendment Act'', and the ''Statutes of the International Association for the Promotion of Co-operation with Scientists from the New Independent States of the Former Soviet Union (INTAS) Ratification Act'', passed in the Riigikogu on June 20.
