President Lennart Meri and Mrs. Helle Meri are leaving for a visit to Canada tomorrow, on July 7, in order to participate on the eighth Worldwide Estonian Cultural Festival ESTO. President Meri is the Honorary Patron of this year's ESTO.

President Meri will open the Worldwide Estonian Cultural Festival in Toronto on Saturday, July 8. In Toronto, the President will also visit the Estonian House, and the Tartu College of Toronto University; President Meri will deliver a speech on the Estonian National Congress and address the Estonian-Canadian business seminar. President Meri is also going to meet Mike Harris, the Premier of the Ontario Province, in Toronto.

In the course of his visit to Canada, President Meri will also visit Calgary in Central Canada, and Vancouver, the centre of Canadian Estonians on the West coast.

The President will be back in Estonia on July 17.
