President Lennart Meri today signed the order to appoint Colonel Märt Tiru the Acting Commander of the Defence Forces from June 19 to July 1, 2000, on the proposal of the Commander of the Defence Forces. The Supreme Commander of National Defence appointed the Acting Commander of the Defence Forces in connection with the application of the Commander of the Defence Forces Lieutenant General Johannes Kert to be granted regular leave.
