President Lennart Meri, the Supreme Commander of National Defence, signed the order to confer the rank of Brigadier General to Colonel Märt Tiru, Acting Commander of the Defence Forces, for successful fulfilment of the responsibilites of the Acting Commander of the Defence Forces and for promoting Estonia's international co-operation in the field of defence, in Kadriorg today.
