President Lennart Meri and Mrs. Helle Meri will be on their state visit to the Czech Republic from May 29 to June 1 by the invitation from the President of the Czech Republic Vaclav Havel.

President Vaclav Havel and Mrs. Dagmar Havlova will greet the Estonian presidential couple at the official reception ceremony of the state visit on May 30 which will be held in the Prague Castle, and the meeting of the delegations of the presidents will also be held there. President Meri will also visit the Town Hall of Prague and deliver a lecture in the Karl University.

On the second day of the visit, the President of Estonia will be in Česky Krumlov and Česke Budejoviče, which is the location of the battalion of Czech peace guards. President Meri will also visit the traditional Czech glass industry in Nižbor.

The President of Estonia will be accompanied on his state visit by the delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
