Today, President Lennart Meri called Raul Olle, winner of the Vasaloppet ski marathon, congratulated him on his success and thanked him for the fact that Estonian sportsmen are regaining Estonia's place on the world map. President Lennart Meri also sent a letter to Raul Olle, where he wrote:''The will and work of the Estonian sportsmen, coaches and maintenace teams is restoring the position Estonia once had in the world of sports, is letting the flag of Estonia fly beautifully, and making you an example to the younger generation of our people.''
