President Lennart Meri today sent a letter of congratualtions to Toomas Savi, the Chairman of the Riigikogu, and to the Deputy Chairmen Tunne Kelam and Siiri Oviir, on the occasion of their re-election to the Board of the Riigikogu.

The President wrote that proceeding from their long experience, Toomas Savi, Tunne Kelam and Siiri Oviir will administer the work of the Riigikogu to ensure a successful legal basis in the interests of the accession to the European Union. As the President said, Estonia's possibilities of success depend on the work of the members of the Board of the Riigikogu, and on the actual content of that work, as we are now racing with time.

The President wished strength to everybody.
