President Lennart Meri signed the resolution to proclaim the ''Service in Defence Forces Act'', passed in the Riigikogu on March 14, as well as the ''Recognition of Professional Qualifications Acquired Abroad Act'', and the ''Plant Protection Act'', passed in the Riigikogu on March 15, and the ''Act Amending the Code of Criminal Procedure'', the ''Maritime Safety Act Amendment Act'', and the ''Accession to the Convention on Prohibition or Restrictions on the Use of Certain Conventional Weapons, which May be Deemed to be Excessively Injurious or to Have Indiscriminate Effects and the Protocols Related Thereto Act'', passed in the Riigikogu on March 21, in Kadriorg today.

The President also proclaimed the ''Commercial Code Amendment Act'' and the ''Criminal Code and Code of Criminal Procedure Amendment Act'', passed in the Riigikogu on March 22.
