President Lennart Meri today sent a letter of congratulation to Professor Andres Keevallik, Rector of the Tallinn Technical University.

President Meri cordially congratulated Professor Keevallik on his election to the post of the Rector, and expressed his satisfaction that the new Rector had set himself the goal of the quality of education. ""In the general inflation of values and qualities, Estonia tends to boast with our intellectuals and forget that the number of our intellectuals is small, and so is their voice. Now, the creativity of man has been trusted to your hands,"" the President wrote in his letter of congratulation to Professor Keevallik.
