President of the Republic will leave for a working visit to Great Britain

President Lennart Meri and Mrs. Helle Meri will on the evening of March 6 leave for a working visit to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

On Tuesday, March 7, President Meri will give the opening address to a business seminar in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of London, meet the Foreign Secretary Robin Cook, as well as the Chief of Defence Staff Sir Charles Guthrie, and the Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Sir Michael Boyce.

President Meri will meet His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales.

On March 8, President Meri will deliver a lecture at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies of London University, and on March 10, he will deliver a speech at the Royal United Services Institute.

On Saturday, March 11, President Meri and Mrs. Helle Meri will visit Stratford-upon-Avon and visit the Shakespeare Museum, and the Mayor of Stratford-upon-Avon will host a dinner in honour of the Estonian guests. On Saturday evening, President Meri will be visiting the Estonian House in Leicester.

President Lennart Meri and Mrs. Helle Meri will be back in Tallinn on Sunday, March 12.
