President Lennart Meri will tomorrow, on November 4, open the international conference ''Estonia and the European Union''. On Friday, also Martti Ahtisaari, President of Finland, the presiding country of the European Union, will deliver presentation on the conference. Friday morning, before Martti Ahtisaari’s presentation on the conference, the Presidents of Estonia and Finland will have a meeting in the National Library.

The Estonian and Finnish Presidents last met at Suomussalmi on August 7 and 8, when President Meri was granted the honorary membership of the Home Neighbourhood Union of Finland.
