15.10.1999Yesterday and today, President Lennart Meri had a meeting with the Congressmen and senators of the United States of America in Washington.
The President had a meeting with the members of the House of Representatives Joseph Knollenberg, Tom Lantos and Christopher Cox, and the senator of Utah Robert Bennett.
The participants in the meetings discussed further enlargement of NATO and the possible support of the U.S.A. to the Baltic states in that process.
The President of Estonia will return to Tallinn on Saturday morning.
