President Lennart Meri and Mrs. Helle Meri this afternoon voted on the elections of the Viimsi rural municipality. After voting, the President said to the journalists that he hopes that the people's faith in the efficiency of the Estonian state would grow. As the President said, the local municipalities are a direct link between the people and the state. The President hopes that the people are going to express their will on the rural and urban municipality elections.
