President of the Republic Lennart Meri visited the Viru County with the former Danish Foreign Minister Uffe Ellemann-Jensen.

On the way back from the Viru County, the President and Ufffe Ellemann-Jensen visited Lahemaa. The first stop was made at Sagadi, where the forest museum and the Sagadi estate were visited. The visit continued in Palmse, where Aarne Kaasik, Director of the Lahemaa National Park, showed the National Park and the Palmse estate ensemble.

The trip to Viru County was concluded at Loksa, with a visit to the Loksa shipyard.
