President of the Republic today sent a letter to Vaćlav Havel, the President of the Czech Republic, and thanked him for the Czech Government's decision to open the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tallinn.

President Lennart Meri promised that the Estonian side would use the Embassy both to deepen the bilateral relations and also as a tool enabling to speed up the EU enlargement in the direction favourable to both countries.
