President of the Republic will fly to Sarajevo

President Lennart Meri will depart for a two-day working visit to Sarajevo tomorrow, on June 29. The President will participate in the South-Eastern Europe Stability Pact Summit organised by Finland, the presiding country of the European Union, and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On Thursday evening, the President of Bosnia and Herzegovina will host a dinner in honour of the European Heads of State who have arrived to the summit. On Friday, it is planned to hold a conference, to take a joint photograph and to make a common statement on the Summit, where also the representatives of all the South-Eastern European donor states and high-level delegations of international organisations will have arrived.

The Estonian President will also meet the Estonian peacekeepers serving in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

President Meri, the Latvian President Vaira Vike-Freiberga and the Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus will fly to Sarajevo in the plane of the Finnish President Martti Ahtisaari. President Meri will return to Tallinn via Helsinki on Friday late night.
