On Monday, June 7, the second session of the Estonian International Commission for the Investigation of Crimes against Humanity took place in the conference centre of the hotel ''Central''. Of the members of the Commission, the Chairman of the Commission Minister Max Jakobson, Uffe Elleman Jensen, Nicholas Lane, Peter Reddaway and Professor Wolfgang von Stetten participated in the meeting.

The Commission approved the research plan for investigating the crimes against humanity committed in Estonia during the German occupation in 1941 – 1944, heard the report on the work of the research group done so far and discussed the details of the publication of the interim report on the Commission’s work. The Commission hopes to publish the report on the crimes against humanity committed in Estonia during the German occupation in the summer of the year 2000.

President of the Republic offered the members of the Commission lunch in Kadriorg. The next meeting of the Commission shall take place on November 22, 1999.
