President Lennart Meri received Jean-Jacques Subrenat, the Ambassador of the Republic of France to Estonia, in Kadriorg this afternoon. The Ambassador delivered a letter from Jacques Chirac, President of the Republic of France, to President Lennart Meri.

In his letter to the Estonian President, President Chirac discussed the questions of guaranteeing the security of the European nations and peaceful development of democratic lifestyle in the future.
