President Lennart Meri received Toomas Savi, Chairman of the ninth Riigikogu, and the Deputy Chairmen Tunne-Väldo Kelam and Siiri Oviir, in Kadriorg today. The President congratulated the new Board of the Riigikogu upon their election into office.

On the meeting, the Riigikogu Chairman Toomas Savi presented his views on concentrating the Riigikogu work into commissions to ensure higher quality of the legislative process.

The Board of the Riigikogu informed the President of the first Board Meeting, which had registered the seven factions of the ninth Riigikogu.
