President Lennart Meri received Mrs. Smaranda Enache, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Romania to the Republic of Estonia, who came to present his credentials, in Kadriorg this morning.

President Meri and Ambassador Enache discussed the relations between the two states and the common wish to accede to the European Union and NATO. Ambassador Enache forwarded to President Meri the Romanian President Emil Constantinescu's invitation of to visit Romania.
