President of the Republic Convened the Session of the Estonian Commission for the Investigation Crimes against Humanity

On the invitation of the President of the Republic, the Members of the Estonian Commission for Investigation of the Crimes against Humanity will be in Tallinn on January 26-27, and the first session of the Commission will take place. The Commission was formed by the President of the Republic on October 2, 1998, for the impartial investigation of the crimes against humanity perpetrated during the Soviet and German occupation against the citizens of the Republic of Estonia or in Estonia.

Max Jakobson, Chairman of the Commission, and the members Uffe Ellemann-Jensen, Paul Goble, Nicholas Lane, Arseni Roginski and Wolfgang Stetten will participate in the first session. The Commission will discuss the its goals, tasks and schedules of action.

At the end of the meeting, the members of the Commission will give a press conference. The exact time of the press conference will be announced in due course.
