President Lennart Meri, who is the patron of the Kalev Games that were organised to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Kalev Sports Society, declared the Kalev Games open at the Kalev Central Stadium this evening.

On May 25, President Lennart Meri delivered a speech on the concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Kalev, and called all the members of the pre-war Kalev sports society and the current members to join together so that the threads of the history of sports movement in Estonia could be woven together.
