President Lennart Meri will fly to Brussels on Wednesday, November 4, and have a meeting with Javier Solana, the Secretary-General of NATO, in the NATO Headquarters in the afternoon. General Wesley K. Clark, Commander of the NATO Forces Europe, will offer a dinner to President Lennart Meri in Brussels on Wednesday.

On Thursday, November 5, the President of the Republic will fly on to Madrid, where he will participate in the forum ''New Dimensions of Security'', organised by the Spanish daily newspaper ''El Pais'' and the French daily paper ''Le Monde'' on November 6 and November 7.

In Madrid, President Meri will also meet José María Aznar, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Spain, and participate in the conclusion of the seminar introducing the Council of the Baltic Sea States and open the Estonian Embassy in Madrid. The President of the Autonomous Region of the Balearic Islands will also offer a dinner to President Meri.

The Estonian Head of State will arrive back in Estonia on Wednesday, November 11, from Warsaw, where he will participate in the celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Poland on November 9 – 11, 1998.
