President of the Republic shortened his visit to the Republic of Poland and will meet the President of the Republic of Finland tomorrow

In connection with his tight schedule and the visit of the President of the Republic of Finland to Tallinn tomorrow, on November 12, President Lennart Meri shortened his visit tot he Republic of Poland and arrived in Tallinn in the early hours of November 11.

President Lennart Meri will receive Martti Ahtisaari, the President of the Republic of Finland, in Kadriorg on November 12, when both Presidents will give an address in the National Library, on the seminar ''By the Will of Tacitus'' arranged on President Meri's initiative.

10.15 AM a regular meeting of the Presidents of Estonia and Finland will start in Kadriorg, where the excellent relations between the two countries, work for enlargement of the European Union and the work of the Governmental delegations of Estonia and Finland for solving ownership issues will be discussed.

President Meri will host a lunch in honour of his Finnish colleague in Kadriorg.

In the afternoon, the Presidents Meri and Ahtisaari will give addresses in the Conference Hall of the Estonian National Library on the seminar ''By the Will of Tacitus – from the Mediterranean to the Baltic Sea'', where the contacts of the Mediterranean and the Baltic Sea cultures within the last 1900 years, from the times of ''Germania'' of Tacitus till today, will be discussed.
