Today, on November 20, the President of the Republic of Estonia has been invited to Braunschweig, Germany, by Norddeutsche Landesbank (North German Country Bank) to deliver a lecture ''The Other Mediterranean Sea''. The event is part of the series of lectures organised prior to the World Exhibition ''EXPO 2000'', and the lectures are delivered by distinguished politicians, scientists, economists and men of culture from all over the world. For the beginning of the World Exhibition in the year 2000, all the lectures will be published in a book. Norddeutsche Landesbank is one of the official organisers of the ''EXPO 2000''. The general subject of the World Exhibition taking place at the turn of the millennium will be ''Man-Nature-Technology''. In addition to the lecture delivered in the Office of the Norddeutsche Landesbank in Braunschweig this evening, the President has several other meetings in Germany. At noon, the Board of the Bank will host a dinner in honour of President Meri. The President will arrive back in Tallinn in the afternoon tomorrow, on November 21.
