Today President Lennart Meri sent his condolences to Roman Herzog, the Federal President of Germany, in connection with the railway accident in Northern Germany that involved many casualties.
The President wrote that no one is ever shielded from fatal accidents, but they are easier to survive when we are aware of each others' support. The President sent his condolences to the friends and relatives of the victims in the name of the people of Estonia.
