On 23 April Academic Council of the President of Republic will gather to discuss the position of the Estonian language and its outlooks for the future, as well as the problems of integration of non-Estonian speakers, perceived against the backdrop of accession of Estonia to the European Union.

Meeting of the Academic Council will hear the papers delivered by the learned linguist Mati Erelt, Professor in Political Science Rein Taagepera, and the columnist with “Eesti Päevaleht” Andrei Hvostov.

Attending at the Meeting of the Academic Council will be Minister of Education Mait Klaassen and Minister Andra Veidemann.

Notice to the editorial boards: during the coffee break at around 6 p.m. of the Meeting starting at 4 p.m. Members of the Academic Round Table will be available to answer your questions.
