At the threshold of the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Estonia we give these decorations of the state to people, who have earned our gratitude and respect for everything they have done to secure the legal continuity of the Republic of Estonia. In the concept of the international law, the Republic of Estonia has been a legal subject for eighty years. The state and its continuity are based on its people. It is supported by the citizens of the Republic of Estonia. It is also supported by foreigners.


The Republic of Estonia expresses its gratitude to those, who have fought for Estonia, showed great courage and been an example to us, to teachers and diplomats, scientists and life savers, officers of the state and freedom fighters, people, who have devoted themselves to their professional work. They all deserve our gratitude for caring for our state and our people.
