Dear Book Villagers,

On my wanderings in Estonia, I have now and again experienced the powerful will of the people of Estonia to perpetuate their place in the wide world and to create a secure foundation for their future. This unyielding will, dear people of Võtikvere, is clearly manifested also in your intent to establish a Book Village. A small nation draws its life force above all from spiritual strength that is conveyed by and recorded in script and in books. Estonia's strength is the sum of your efforts - and hopefully many other efforts of similar nature.
