In its meeting held today, the Academic Council of the President of the Republic listened to the reports of population scientist Kalev Katus and economic analyst Erik Terk on issues concerning the relations between the development of population and economy

The subject of the introductory report of Erik Terk was the economic growth of Estonia, and changes in the economic structure and the number of population. Kalev Katus talked about the development of Estonian population in the European context. In addition to the members of the Academic Council, Minister of Social Affairs Eiki Nestor and Minister Katrin Saks participated in the meeting as guests.
