Tomorrow, on Thursday, March 11, at 4 PM, the Academic Council of the President of the Republic will convene for this year`s first session in Kadriorg to discuss matters of regional policy. Regional policy has been chosen as the Academic Council`s main discussion theme this year.


Researcher Garri Raagma from the Geographical Institute of Tartu University will speak of the vision of Estonia`s spatial development on the 21st century, regional development consultant Aado Keskpaik will speak of the evolution of the national political vision of Estonia`s spatial development, of the national plan “Estonia 2010”, and the regional development strategies of Estonia, and Mart Einasto will speak of the regional aspects of social policy.
